The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the State Governments may consider the Central Teachers Eligibility Test score for the appointments of teaching posts in the State Government Schools.

Like the UGC - NET exam is considered by the State Governments for the Appointment of Assistant Professor Posts in Governement and Government Aided posts, now the CBSE also stress the state governments to consider the CTET Exam for the teachers appointments.

But the state governements have the right to accept the CTET or to reject the same.
