Name of the Post : Jailor in Tamilnadu Jail Service

Total Number of Vacancies : 6 (GT(PSTM)-1, BC(OBCM)-1, BC(OBCM)(PSTM)-1, BCM-1, MBC/DC-1, SC-1)

Salary : Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4800/- (Nearly Rs.35,000/- per month)

SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs - No Age Limit
‘Others’ [i.e. Applicants not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs] - i. 30 Years (Should not have completed) ii. For Persons holding a Master Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration or Master’s degree in Social Work should not have completed 35 Years

Paper-II (GENERAL STUDIES) (Degree Standard) - 200 items - 300 Marks

1. General Studies - 75 items

2. Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (SSLC Standard - 25 items

3. General Tamil / General English -100 items (SSLC Standard)
