1.       Under Digital India mission, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution launched web portal of Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA) & Electronic Negotiable Warehouse Receipt (e-NWR) System which aims at simplifying Warehouse Registration Rules, digitizing entire process of registration, monitoring and surveillance as well as creation and management of NWRs in electronic form through two repositories.
2.       The accessible and comprehensive mobile application for easy dissemination of information to ‘Divyangjans’, pertaining to schemes, scholarships, statutes, institutional support systems, jobs and other crucial information the Ministry for Social Justice and Empowerment has launched “Divyang Sarathi”.
3.       PENCIL- Platform for Effective Enforcement for No Child Labour portal was launched by the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment at National Conference on Child Labour. The PENCIL portal is an electronic platform that aims at involving Centre, State, District, Governments, civil society and general public in achieving the target of child labour free society.
4.       The Sports ministry has recently nominated PV Sindhu’s name for Padma Bushan.
5.       Eman Abdul Atti , who was known as the World’s heaviest Woman passed away recently in UAE.
6.       Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board has directed Bharat Aluminium Company Limited to close its 1200 MW thermal power plant by mentuioning that the ash slurry water from the damaged ash dam is polluting water of a Belgiri nullah passing near the plant that drains into Hasdeo river.
7.       The world’s smallest squirrel was found in Meratus mountain of South Kalimantan province of Indonesia. It was named as Bormean Pigmy squirrel.
8.       India sought for zero tolerance against terrorist safe heavens anywhere and at any level during the recent UN Security Council meeting which was held in Afghanistan.
9.       Japan’s PM Shinzo Abe has called for a snap election, a year earlier than the scheduled time . He said he would dissolve the lower house of the parliament on 28th sep 2017, seeking a stronger mandate and support for his tough stance towards the increasing threats from North Korea following its illegal ballistic missile and nuclear weapons programme.
10.   Government of India has constituted High Level 5G India 2020 Forum to take on the global super powers. This forum is constituted with three secretaries from different ministries or department of Telecom, Meity and DST.
11.   The worlds’ largest airplane named Stratolaunch which has been designed to serve as a launching platform for sending rockets into low-earth orbit which has successfully completed its initial engine tests. The plane weighs nearly 227000Kg when empty and unfueled.
12.   Sep 26 – international day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons  with an aim to educate the public and their leaders about the real benefits of nuclear weapons and the social and economical costs of perpetuating them.
13.   Shashi Shanker  was appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation limited.


14.   Victor Axelsen won the Men’s single title and Carolin Marin won the women’s Singles title at the 2017 Japan Super Series
