பதிலளிநீக்குMADURAI: The Madurai bench of the Madras high court on Thursday ordered the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) to keep seven maternal and child welfare officer posts vacant.
Acting on a petition filed by a community health nurse at Kadambur in Tuticorin district, A Ganesa Rani, and six others, Justice D Hariparanthaman issued notices to the state health secretary, TNPSC secretary and others.
In her petition, Rani challenged a notification issued by the TNPSC on July 31 last inviting applications to fill the posts of maternal and child welfare officer.
Rani said the maternal and child welfare officer posts should be filled on promotion basis. She aid she was eligible to be promoted to the post. However, the TNPSC was trying to fill the vacancies violating the promotion norms

The TNPSC Calender says that the MCHO result will be declared in 3rd week of Feb. I called TNPSC, they said the result will be delayed and probably published in Last week of March.
