1. Bangladesh has signed a massive USD 4.5 billion third line of credit (LOC) agreement with India for its social sector development and infrastructure with finance minister Arun Jaitley vowing to back the country’s developmental initiatives.
2.       According to the latest renewable market analysis and forecast report by the IEA ( International   Energy Agency ) , India’s renewable energy capacity will be more than double by 2022.
3.       FIFA U-17 World Cup Kicked off on 6th Oct 2017 with four opening day matches to be played in Delhi and Mumbai. This is the first time that India will be participating in a FIFA World Cup. The opening matches will be played by teams in Group A and Group B.
4.       The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister for Road Transport and Highways  Nitin Gadkari  laid the foundation stone for  4 National Highways Projects  worth Rs 1121 Cr and several shipping projects worth rs 200 crore in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
5.       The first ever ASEAN- India music festival began at Purana Quila in New Delhi on 5th Oct 2017 . The 3 day festival is being organized by the Ministry of External affairs, Government of India in collaboration with Culture Ministry to celebrate the 25th year anniversary of ASEAN -India Dialogue Relations.
6.       The Union Government has made the biometric identification , Aadhaar mandatory for all post office deposits , PPF , the national savings certificate scheme and Kisan Vikas Patra . the information was shared by the finance ministry  through 4 separate Gazette notifications.
7.       5th India water Week -2017 was inaugurated by the President Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi with the theme of 2017 is “ Water and Energy for Inclusive Growth “
8.       India and South Africa are celebrating 20 years of strategic corporation this year in Durban, South Africa.  
9.       A UGC Panel has recommended that Hindu and Muslim word in the names of universities –BHU-Banaras Hindu University and AMU – Aligarh Muslim University do not echo their secular spirit and should be dropped.
10. Rafael Nadal  won his 6th ATP title of 2017  in the China Open Title by defeating Nick Kyrgios of Australia  and this will be his 75th career singles trophy.
