"Target TNPSC Group IV 2016" - Free Online Coaching by TNPSCPortal

Greetings from TNPSC Portal !
I have been receiving lot of emails asking 'when you are going to start TNPSC Online coaching 2016 ?" . Many friends have acknowledge that the online coaching conducted in the previous years 2014, 2015 (Click here to see the test series of 2014, 2015 coaching) were useful for them to clear TNPSC Group 4, 2, 2A and Group 1 exams. I am very happy to hear such testimonies by the TNPSCPortal visitors. I believe this year also, more number of TNPSCPortal visitors will get jobs in the upcoming TNPSC Examinations. This is my humble initiative to support you all in your TNPSC preparations.

About Online Coaching :

  • Coaching will be conducted for General Studies and Pothu Tamil and General English
  • You will be given syllabus to study for a week.
  • In the end of the week you will have to attend an online test.
  • You can attend the online test whenever you have time through out that week.
  • Rank list with your name and mark will be published in the www.tnpscportal.in website .
Recommended Study Materials :
Samacheer Kalvi / State Board Books ( 6th to 10th Std )
Samacheer Kalvi School Books are the main source for the TNPSC Preparation. If you cant get the hard copy books, download samacheerkalvi books from Tamilnadu Text Book Corporation Website http://www.textbooksonline.tn.nic.in/

Arihant General Knowledge
Next to Samacheerkalvi books, you have to fully cover the Arihant GK Book. Especially the last 80 pages (General Knowledge Portion) . It is a must have book for all TNPSC Exam Aspirants. This is the only book suggested by all coaching centers through out India. Written in simple English, even Tamil Medium Candidates can easily understand. Available to buy online also (Flipkart Link to buy).

Current Affairs
For current affair portion, you can follow TNPSCPortal Monthly Current Affairs, GKToday website current affair questions etc.

Is there any comprehensive guidebooks or coaching class materials ?
You can study any resources relevent to TNPSC exams but your begining should be with Samacheer Kalvi Books. My humble request is, after completing School books, Arihant General Knowledge and Current Affairs, you can study as much study materials and coaching class materials if you have enough time. One more reason to avoid guide books are some time over informative ( you are preparing for TNPSC but they might be UPSC standard, it may create a hatred towards studying). Regarding coaching class materials, no TNPSC coaching class materials are comprehensive. They give 50 % study materials in printed material format and remaining is given as class notes. When you start with school books, you will be very much clear in the basic concepts, so that you can face even tough questions easily.

More Suggested Books
If you have completed the Samacheer kalvi and Arihant books, you can go for the suggested books given in the following link http://www.tnpscportal.in/p/books.html
