1.       The Union Government has recently abolished the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB). This decision marked a water shed moment in India’s overseas frame work. It is also a sign of giving a major boost to “ Make in India” and easing the flow of foreign capital into India .
2.       India and World Bank have signed an agreement for IBRD Credit of USD 36 million for Himachal Pradesh Public Financial Management Capacity Building Program.
3.       Beren and Luthein , a book by Lord of the Rings author John Ronald Reuel Tolkien (JRR Tolkein) was published after 100 years on June 1st 2017.
4.       India and Russia mark the 70th anniversary of  establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations by signing the St Petersburg declaration.
5.       The Union Government launches INAM-Pro+, it is an upgraded version  of INAM-Pro , the web portal launched by the ministry in 2015 as a common platform to bring cement buyers and sellers together.
6.       Cricket south Africa has announced that it is going to conduct Twenty 20  league  and will be known as T20 Global league in the last quarter of 2017, there will be 8 teams and players  from both local and international. The logo for this is unveiled at the Wanderers stadium. The logo depicts the African continent along with radiance on South Africa , replaced the word “destination “ with a visual reference.
7.       The Country’s bio technology regulator, Genetic Engineering Appraisal Committee ( GEAC) which functions  under the Environment Ministry has approved the  environment release and cultivation by farmers  of DMH -11, a GM  hybrid mustard developed by scientists at Delhi University.
8.       The naval operated variant of Prithvi-II( surface to surface missile ) class missiles are known as Dhanush was test fired successfully at Chandipur, Odisha on   2nd June, 2017. This is first missile developed by DRDO under India’s Integrated Guided Missile Development Program (IGMDP)
9.       Andhra Pradesh is hosting a 3 day MoDI  Fest( Making of Developed India Festival  )   to celebrate the successful completion of 3 year rule by NDA Government.  
10.   Manika Batra and Mouma Das on June 1st 2017   created a history by  becoming the first Indian pair to enter into the quarter finals of the World Table Tennis Chamiponships in Dusseldorf .
11.   LIGO (The Laser Interferometer  Gravitational Wave Observatory ) makes third confirmed detection of gravitational waves coming from a binary balck hole merger,  it also revealed the alignment of spin holes of the black holes.
12.   Indian American  girl  Ananya Vinay won the 90th Scripps National Spelling Bee Competition of US and she was awrded with USD 40000 cash Prize , a trophy and other awards including a USD 2500 US saving bond from Merriam -Webster .
13.   Donald Trump has announced the US withdrawal  from Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
14.   Shashi Shekar Vempati was appointed as the CEO of Prasar Bharati on the recommendation of three member committee headed by Vice President M Hamid Ansari .
15.   Indian –American Amul Thapar has been appointed as the Judge in US Court of Appeals.
16.   Indian Origin Leo Vardarkar became the Catholic Country’s ( Ireland ) Prime Minister . He is the first gay PM and the youngest person ever to hold the office.
17.   India’s second  Scorpene class submarine INS Khandheri which was launched earlier this year has been made for surface trials.
18. Reliance Communication (R-com) chairman Anil Ambani announced that it  will demerge its wireless business with  Aircel and transfer it to the new entity Aircom.
