Human Development Indicators in Tamil Nadu
- Tamil Nadu Governments first Human Development Report was published in the year 2003. The report was prepared by State Planning Commission with the support of the Union Planning Commission and the UNDP.
- The latest and second Tamil Nadu Human Development Report was prepared by the State Planning Commission, Tamil Nadu Government in the year 2017.
- The preparation of the Tamil Nadu Human Development Report has been an initiative of the Government of Tamil Nadu supported by the United Nations Development Programme and the NITI Aayog.
- The State Planning Commission has been assisted by Madras Institute of Development Studies (MIDS), Chennai, in the preparation of State Human Development Report.
