தமிழ்த் திரைப்படப் பாடலாசிரியரும், கவிஞருமான பிறைசூடன் உடல்நலக் குறைவால் காலமானார். 8-10-2021 அன்று காலமானார். திருவாரூர் மாவட்டம், நன்னிலம் கிராமத்தில் 1956-ம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 6-ம் தேதி பிறந்த இவர் 1985-ல் வெளியான ‘சிறை’ படத்தில் எம்.எஸ்.விஸ்வநாதன் இசையமைத்த ’ராசாத்தி ரோசாப் பூவே’ என்னும் பாடலை எழுதியதன் மூலம் தமிழ்த் திரைப்படத் துறையில் பாடலாசிரியராக அறிமுகம் ஆனார்.
