வன்னியர்களுக்கு 10.5% இட ஒதுக்கீடு வழங்கி இயற்றப்பட்ட சட்டம் ரத்து செய்து மதுரை ஐகோர்ட்டு உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது. இன்று இந்த வழக்கில் உத்தரவை பிறப்பித்த நீதிபதிகள், சாதிவாரியான கணக்கெடுப்பை முறையாக நடத்திய பின்னரே இடஒதுக்கீட்டை வழங்க வேண்டும் என கூறியுள்ளனர்.
கூ.தக. : இந்த வழக்கின் முந்தைய விசாரனையில் 1983ஆம் ஆண்டின் சாதிவாரி கணக்கெடுப்பு அடிப்படையில் வன்னியர்களுக்கு 10.5% இட ஒதுக்கீடு வழங்கப்பட்டதாக தமிழக அரசுத் தரப்பில் பதிலளிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.
