'அம்மாவுக்கு மகள் சொன்ன உலகின் முதல் கதை' தொகுப்பிற்காக எழுத்தாளர் மு.முருகேஷுக்கு 2021 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான குழந்தைகள் இலக்கியத்திற்கான பால புரஸ்கார் சாகித்ய விருது அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. கடந்த 2010ஆம் ஆண்டு குழந்தைகள் சிறுகதைகள் என்ற அவரின் நூல் தமிழக அரசின் புத்தகப் பூங்கொத்து திட்டத்தின்கீழ் தேர்வாகியது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
