உலக பொருளாதார மன்றம் (world economic forum) வெளியிட்டுள்ள உலகளாவிய பயண வளர்ச்சிக் குறியீட்டில் இந்தியா தெற்கு ஆசியாவில் முதல் இடத்தையும், உலக அளவில் 54-வது இடத்தையும் பிடித்துள்ளது. இந்த உலகளாவிய பயண வளர்ச்சிக் குறியீட்டில் ஜப்பான் முதல் இடம் பிடித்துள்ளது. அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து அமெரிக்கா, ஸ்பெயின், பிரான்ஸ், ஜெர்மனி, சுவிட்சர்லாந்து, ஆஸ்திரேலியா, யுனைடட் கிங்டம், சிங்கப்பூர் மற்றும் இத்தாலி ஆகிய நாடுகள் முதல் 10 இடங்களில் உள்ளன.
