சர்வதேச புலிகள் தினம் - ஜீலை 29 அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
கூ.தக. : உலகளவில் 70 சதவீதத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட புலிகள் இந்தியாவில் வாழ்கின்றன.
இந்தியாவில் மொத்தம் 18 மாநிலங்களில் 51 புலிகள் சரணாலயங்கள் உள்ளன. இவற்றில் 14 புலிகள் சரணாலயங்களுக்கு உலக அங்கீகாரம் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
"ப்ராஜெக்ட் டைகர் " என்னும் திட்டம் 1973-ம் ஆண்டு மறைந்த பிரதமர் இந்திராகாந்தியால் ஏப்ரல் 1-ம் தேதி ஜிம் கார்பட் தேசிய பூங்காவில் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.
