சாகித்ய அகாதெமி மூலம் 22 மொழிகளில் மொழிபெயா்க்கப்படும் முதல் தமிழ்ப் படைப்பு ‘கள்ளிக்காட்டு இதிகாசம்’ என கவிஞா் வைரமுத்து தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
கூ.தக. : கவிஞா் வைரமுத்து எழுதிய புகழ்பெற்ற நாவலான கள்ளிக்காட்டு இதிகாசம் 2003-ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான சாகித்ய அகாதெமி விருது பெற்றது. இன்றைய தேனி மாவட்டத்தின் வைகை அணை கட்டப்பட்டபோது அதன் நீா்தேங்கும் பரப்புக்காக காலி செய்யப்பட்ட 14 கிராமங்களின் வாழ்வியல்தான் கள்ளிக்காட்டு இதிகாசம்.
