அரசு மற்றும் அரசு உதவி பெறும் பள்ளிகளில் 1 முதல் 8-ஆம் வகுப்பு வரை பயிலும் மாணவா்களுக்கு இலவசமாக மதிய உணவு வழங்க வகை செய்யும் ‘பிரதமா் ஊட்டச்சத்து திட்டத்துக்கு’ (பிஎம்-போஷண்) மத்திய அமைச்சரவை 29-9-2021 அன்று ஒப்புதல் வழங்கியது. டு முழுவதுமுள்ள 11.20 லட்சம் பள்ளிகளில் பயிலும் சுமாா் 11.80 கோடி மாணவா்கள் இத்திட்டத்தின் வாயிலாகப் பலனடைவா் என்று மத்திய அரசு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
