இந்தியாவின் முதல் பெண் மனநல மருத்துவர் எம்.சாரதா மேனன் ( 98 ) 6-12-2021 அன்று காலமானார்.சென்னை கீழ்ப்பாக்கம் மனநல மருத்துவமனையில், 1961ம் ஆண்டு கண்காணிப்பாளராக சேர்ந்த அவர், 16 ஆண்டுகள் பணிபுரிந்தார். பணி ஓய்வுக்குப் பின், 1984ல் 'ஸ்கார்ப் இந்தியா' என்ற மன நோயாளிகளுக்கான அமைப்பை துவக்கினார்.
