ஆஸ்திரேலிய ஓபன் மகளிர் ஒற்றையர் போட்டியில் ஆஸ்திரேலிய வீராங்கனை ஆஷ் பார்ட்டி சாம்பியன் ஆகியுள்ளார். இதன்மூலம் 44 வருடங்கள் கழித்து ஆஸ்திரேலிய ஓபன் போட்டியை வென்ற ஆஸ்திரேலியர் என்கிற பெருமையைப் பெற்றுள்ளார். இதற்கு முன்பு 1978-ல் கிறிஸ் ஓ நீல் வெற்றி பெற்றிருந்தார்.
