இந்தியாவின் நைட்டிங்கேல் என அழைக்கப்படும் பழம் பெரும் பாடகி லதா மங்கேஷ்கர் 6.2.2021 அன்று காலமானார். இவர் 1969-இல் பத்ம பூஷண், 1999-இல் பத்ம விபூஷண், 2001-இல் பாரத் ரத்னா விருதுகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளார். திரைத் துறையின் உயரிய விருதான தாதா சாகேப் பால்கே விருதையும் இவர் பெற்றுள்ளார்.
