ரத்த உறவு திருமணங்களில் தமிழகம் முதல் இடத்தை பிடித்து உள்ளது. தமிழகத்தில் 28 சதவீத மக்கள் ரத்த உறவில் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வதாக தேசிய குடும்ப நல ஆய்வின் ஐந்தாவது சுற்று அறிக்கையில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
