06-06-2020 : State Government can take decisions on reoponing of schools - Anita Karwal , School Education Secretary -Union Ministry of Human Resource Development. While speaking at a virtual conference on school education and the COVID challenge, hosted by Ashoka University, the school education secretary, HRD has informed the state governments will take decisions on opening schools after the Covid-19 lockdown. However, the HRD ministry will provide guidelines for sanitations and quarantine and physical dis tancing norms.

30-05-2020 : The Honourable School Education Minister has informed that, re-opening date of schools in Tamilnadu will be announced after June 2020. The result of 10th and 12th Standards will be published in July 2020.

18-04-2020 : In a tweet , Hon'ble Minister for School Education has notified, the decision of opening schools will be taken after the Corona issue. After the proper announcements by the Central and State Goverments, a Committee will be set up to examine the feasibilities of opening schools.
