ஜல் ஜீவன் இயக்கத்தின் (Jal Jeevan Mission) கீழ் இதுவரையில் கடந்த 23 மாதங்களில் 1 லட்சம் கிராமங்கள் மற்றும் 50,000 கிராம பஞ்சாயத்துகளில் 4.49 கோடி குழாய் நீர் இணைப்புகள் வழங்கப்பட்டதோடு, 50,000 கிராம பஞ்சாயத்துகளில் உள்ள அனைத்து வீடுகளுக்கும் இணைப்புகள் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக மத்திய அரசு அறிவித்துள்ளது.
15 ஆகஸ்டு 2019 ல் தொடங்கப்பட்ட ஜல்ஜீவன் இயக்கம், 2024-ம் ஆண்டுக்குள் இந்தியாவில் உள்ள ஒவ்வொரு வீட்டுக்கும் குறிப்பிட்ட தரத்தில், போதுமான அளவில் குழாய் மூலம் தண்ணீர் கிடைக்க செய்வதை இலக்காகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
