காந்தியவாதி, பெண்கள் உரிமை ஆர்வலர் மற்றூம் சுயதொழில் பெண்கள் சங்கத்தின் (Self-Employed Women’s Association (SEWA)) நிறுவனர் எலாபென் பட் (Elaben Bhatt) 2.11.2022 அன்று காலமானார். 1972 இல் அவரால் நிறுவப்பட்ட ‘சுயதொழில் பெண்கள் சங்கமானது’ பெண்களுக்காகப் பணிபுரியும் மிகப்பெரிய கூட்டுறவு நிறுவனங்களில் ஒன்றாகும், இந்தியா மற்றும் அண்டை நாடுகளில் உள்ள 18 மாநிலங்களில் இருந்து இரண்டு மில்லியனுக்கும் அதிகமான உறுப்பினர்களைக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
