தமிழ்நாட்டிதின் 17 வது பறவைகள் சரணாலையமாக திருப்பூரிலுள்ள நஞ்சராயன் டேங்க் (Nanjarayan Tank) அமைக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. மேலும், யானைகள் வனவாழிடம் ஒன்று கிருஷ்ணகிரியிலும், தேவாங்குகளுக்கென (Slender loris) வனவாழிடம் திண்டுக்கல் மாவட்டத்திலும் ஏற்படுத்தப்படும் என தமிழக அரசு அறிஒவித்துள்ளது.
